Secure your website and your customers' data
An SSL certificate encrypts what visitors send to your site — passwords, card details, contact forms — and shows them the padlock that says it is safe to.
- Encrypts everything visitors send to your site
- The padlock in the browser address bar
- No "Not secure" warning on your pages
- Set up for you when your domain is registered with us
-
Encryption that protects data
Logins, card numbers and form entries travel encrypted between the visitor and your site, so nobody in between can read them.
-
Trust at a glance
Browsers show a padlock on secured sites and warn visitors away from forms on unsecured ones. Customers notice both.
-
Better for search
Search engines prefer secure sites, so HTTPS is part of being found as well as being safe.

Questions people actually ask
What is an SSL certificate?
A digital certificate, issued for your domain by a certificate authority, that lets browsers connect to your site over an encrypted connection and confirms the site is the one it claims to be.
My hosting already includes free SSL. Why buy one?
The free certificate encrypts your site, and for many sites that is enough. A paid certificate adds what the free one does not: organisation or extended validation, wildcard coverage for subdomains, a warranty and a site seal. What each certificate includes is listed with its price.
Do I need a domain name?
Yes — a certificate is issued for a domain. When you buy one you can register a new domain in the same order, or use a domain you already own.
Do SSL certificates work in every browser?
Yes. The certificates we sell are trusted by all major browsers on desktop and mobile.
Can I upgrade my certificate later?
Certificates cannot be upgraded in place. If you need a different type, buy the new certificate and install it on the same server as the old one.
What happens after I buy?
If your domain is registered with us, nothing is needed from you: we create the key and the request, prove the domain with a DNS record, and the certificate appears in your account to download. If your domain is elsewhere, you add one DNS record or upload one file, and we take it from there.
Who installs it?
You download the certificate, its CA bundle and the private key from your account, and paste them into your hosting control panel (in cPanel: SSL/TLS, then Manage SSL sites). If you would rather not, open a ticket and a person here will help you through it.
